Kristen’s Story

Kristen Rose’s world was forever changed on October 15, 2012, when she was in a catastrophic auto accident due to a “recall tire.” She had borrowed a friend’s SUV and was traveling on I-85 SB headed to her second job when her driver rear tire tread separated causing her SUV to flip six times, ejecting her out of the rear trunk window.

As a single mom to a 5-year-old son, their lives changed instantly. She was in a wheelchair for six months with no money for proper medications or therapy. She even had to build a handicap ramp. Everyone was affected.

  1. There are currently over 50 million vehicles on our roads with RECALLS.
  2. TWO ways a RECALL is announced-
    • Manufacturer voluntarily
    • Consumer complaints to the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration)
  3. Be sure to register your new/used vehicle and tires with a manufacturer.
*It’s important to provide a current address in case there is a recall is on your vehicle.
